- By CRAIG P STEWART

East Kilbride are out for revenge when they take on Albion Rovers, as the Coatbridge side romped to a 5-2 win in the Betfred Cup earlier this season.

K Park manager Billy Stark said: “They caught us cold and were two up after the first five minutes. Having won here before, they are the favourites again. However, we will look to start better and get a foothold in the game.”

Albion Rovers manager Brian Kerr said: “That game was very early in the season and Billy was not long into his job so this one will be tougher.”

As Scottish Junior Cup holders Glenafton head to Livingston, manager Craig Mcewan said: “This is our first adventure in this competition and we want it to continue. However, we know that we face a tough task at Livingston.”

Brechin City are well prepared for visiting Buckie Thistle. Manager Darren Dods, pictured, said: “Buckie knocked us out of the Irn-bru Cup up back in August. They were happy to turn the game into a physical battle and that caught us a bit unaware, but we are wellwarned this time.”

Ayr United’s players have been told to keep their feet on the ground or they could crash back to reality against Aberdeen junior side Banks O’dee .Ayr defeated title rivals Raith Rovers 3-0 in midweek, but manager Ian Mccall said: “We might be feeling good about ourselves but that does not win you games. We cannot just turnupandwinatspainpark.” Forfar manager Jim Weir reckons his side will have to be at their best to defeat hosts Formartine. He said: “Formartine have good players, experience and confidence from winning a cup recently so this will be tough.”

Stranraer manager Stevie Farrell sent club scout Stuart Millar 300 miles north last weekend to spy on Brora and it was worthwhile. Farrell said: “Stuart gathered in good information. They are a big strong team who will dictate to us if we allow them to.”

Airdrie host Highland League pace-setters Cove. John Sheran, the Cove manager, said: “We have players who think they can play in senior football and this is a chance to prove that.”

Fraserburgh visit Spartans, whose manager Dougie Samuel said: “We defeated Clachnacuddin in the last round and it would be great to beat a Highland League team again.”
