The Boston Bruins were in magnificen­t form as seven different players found the net in a dominating 7-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Two quick powerplay goals in the second - one from David Backes and a one-timer for Charlie Mcavoy – put the Bruins 3-0 up. And they turned on the style in the third, scoring four times – with their goals sandwiched by a pair of Columbus consolatio­ns through Josh Anderson and Seth Jones as the Bruins snapped their two-game losing streak. Miles Wood hit a brace for the New Jersey Devils in the second and Stefan Noesen bagged a pair in the third as they beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-3. Anaheim were 2-0 up after the first through Ryan Getzlaf and Jakob Silfverber­g, but the Devils hit three in the third for the win. The Los Angeles Kings had Jonathan Quick to thank as he recorded 36 saves in a 4-1 win over the Philadelph­ia Flyers, their first loss in seven. LA’S Adrian Kempe scored his 11th of the season and Tyler Toffoli his 16th in the game at the Wells Fargo Centre. Two second period goals through Tyson Barrie and JT Compher were the difference as the Colorado Avalanche beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2. Tyson Barrie opened the scoring for the Avalanche just after five minutes, but Chad Ruhwedel evened things up. Both sides found the net in the third period, with Mikko Rantanen scoring his 10th of the season. The Edmonton Oilers won their first game at home since the start of December with a 5-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks, with Ryan Nugent-hopkins getting his 14th of the campaign.
