Dundee United Two hits and a miss

Friday night was quite simply a shocker from a United point of view. Once again looking a gift horse in the mouth, we wasted the opportunity to cash in on our possession by missing that crucial penalty. We were not helped by the failure of the referee to show two red cards to St Mirren players for near-assaults on Mcmullan and Flood, but those are the usual breaks we seem to be getting in this league.

With the loss for the season of Fraser and Fyvie and an ever-lengthening injury list, the Brechin game was crucial. That we should score four and still make it hard for ourselves through indiscipline speaks volumes. However, we are Dundee United, and we’ll be here all season to make things difficult for the media darlings!
