Dumbarton Wanted: a proven scorer

I missed our 0-0 draw with Queen of the South on Tuesday but by all accounts a draw seemed like a fair result. The highlights would suggest that too, with both keepers in fine form. We still seem pretty light up front and Stevie Aitken highlighted this post-match. The problem is finding the guy who can come in and score half a dozen goals for us before the end of the season.

A few names have been thrown into the conversation but I’d be surprised if we signed anyone before Saturday. A clinical striker would perhaps be the final piece of the puzzle as players such as Danny Handling are coming back to fitness, and Liam Dick has been signed until the end of the season after Chris Mclaughlin is likely to be out for a few months.
