Depute dream

-

Fomer Runrig musician Pete Wishart is the latest MSP to confirm he is considering standing as SNP depute leader, arguing the party has to win back Leave voters.

‘Mr Wishart said a new case for Scottish independence had to be “urgently constructed”. “The most obvious issue that requires our attention is the question of a second independence referendum,” he wrote. So, Mr Wishart thinks he has to restate a case that has already been rejected by the majority of Scots and there’s no evidence that the majority of Scots are demanding another go. This quack and his fellow crew members are a blight, a dark stain on Scotland.

Not even the most rabid Nat has come out to support him.

Does he think people will forget his obscene tweet calling some of the candidates w*nkers?

The SNP could make a start on “progressive” policies by dropping their affectation with “depute”.

And Petey’s first gaff in his campaign to be deputy is his statement “.... the first steps in an independent Scotland rejoining the EU...” Scotland cannot rejoin the EU. Scotland has never been a member state of the EU.

I thought he was quite good in Runrig.

Not so much a stalking horse than a pantomime one!
