What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?
I have a friend’s wedding coming up so I picked myself up a gorgeous blue, sleeveless, summer dress in Debenhams, perfect for celebrating the big day as the wedding is taking place in Italy.
What are you addicted to buying?
I have an addiction to new earrings. I particularly love a bargain when I’m at local markets on holiday and have managed to accumulate quite an international collection – from sea turtles to the Statue of Liberty.
Best ever bargain?
I got one of my favourite ever dresses from the gorgeous boutique shop Wish in Glasgow in their end of season sale. It’s bright yellow, fits like a glove and only cost me £50.
Who has great style?
Definitely not me. I could spend my days in jeans and a comfy hoodie jumper. Thankfully though, my friend Janis-sue Smith, who just happens to be a top stylist and looked after me during my year as Miss Scotland, is probably who I look up to when I think of style. She is effortlessly classy and chic.
Name your favourite high street shop.
H&M for a bargain and Debenhams for a browse.
Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?
So many that I find it hard to pick one. Lime green Lycra cycle shorts for PE springs to mind.
What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?
A floor length, gold sequin ball gown which I bought when I was competing at Miss World in 2011. It’s the one thing that I always feel amazing in, although I don’t get a chance to wear it all that often. n
