Wind farm helps village get ultrafast broadband
A small Highland village has received ultrafast broadband thanks to the funding from a local renewable energy company.
Residents of Moy, ten miles south of Inverness, now have access to internet speeds of up to 300mbps among the fastest widely available in the UK.
It comes after money was put forward by local wind farm operator Eneco, which was used in a funding partnership between the community and Openreach.
Delivery of the project was done through the Community Fibre Partnership, which is designed to help people in places which are not included in roll-out plans.
Plans are now in place to bring in a similar scheme to nearby Glenmazeran, another area of Strathdearn.
