Train trials

-

Passengers on Scotrail’s busiest rail route face major overcrowding because some of its busiest trains are to lose half their carriages. The lease on four of its current trains expires in weeks but the late arrival of a new fleet on the main Edinburghglasgow line will leave the operator short.

Getting pretty tired of trains being cancelled.

“Customers should plan their journeys in advance”... So

our transport minister and Scotrail have relinquished any planning function. This is now the responsibility of the PAYING customer!

This is where we reap the benefits of the fragmented rail system, I pity the commuters who have to put up with this.

No quote from the transport minister on this bad news story. I wonder why. Watch him defend Scotrail’s passenger satisfaction ratings in the coming weeks.

If the Glasgow-edinbugh fare is to be reduced to encourage people to help avoid overcrowding on the via Airdrie route, does this mean the fares for all current users of that route are going to see a similar reduction now that their service is likely to become overcrowded?

Boba Fett

Angry commuters again, are they ever happy? Sick of their moaning, get jobs nearer home
