- By SCOTT REID

A“performanceimprovement specialist” has been launched in Edinburgh by an entrepreneur who spent 12 years working for Lloyds Banking Group.

Newbycore Consulting, led by founder and managing director Scott Newby, has both the public and private sectors in its sights.

After graduating with a masters degree in business management from Heriot-watt University, Newby gained 12 years’ experience of working for Lloyds in a variety of managerial and senior roles.

In addition to its founder, the Newbycore Consulting team consists of eight consultants, a business development director and a sales manager.

Newby – a member of Entrepreneurial Scotland – said: “After 12 years working in the financial services sector, and having a young family, I felt the time had come for something new.

“I was keen to build a team of experts in each area, be that process improvement, cultural change, leadership coaching or HR and that’s exactly what I’ve done.”

He added: “I’m incredibly proud and confident that we have a diverse and highly experienced team to deliver exceptional results for our clients.”

As well as creating a team of consultants, the new venture has brought together a network of supporting companies to offer additional services to clients such as PR, data analytics and insurance.
