#JAMIE CARRAGHER

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher’s TV pundit career is hanging by a thread after he was filmed appearing to spit at a family from his car. The ex-england star has been pulled from his Sky Sports duties temporarily as the fallout over the incident continues. @Sunderlanddave asked: “Didn’t Jonny Evans get a 6 match ban for spitting and an absolute hammering from @Skysports pundit Jamie Carragher? Who said at the time spitting at someone is the most disgusting thing you could do...” @77Thommo contended: “I’ve known Jamie Carragher for 30 years and I can tell you now that incident is completely out of character for him, fair play for phoning the guy and his daughter up and apologising, he’s only human at the end of day and the frustration has got the better of him. “@Aaroncapstick reasoned: “1. Jamie Carragher spitting at someone is disgusting and he should be sacked by Sky. 2. The guy rolling down his window when driving to shout abuse at someone while also using his phone to record it is also disgusting and he should be banned from driving.” @Paddypower joked: “Jamie Carragher has been suspended by Sky following spitting incident. Alan Curbishley will now spend the rest of the day by the phone.”

#STORMYDANIELS

With problems still piling up for Donald Trump, from the Russia probe to an upcoming special election in Pennsylvania, the lingering presence of former adult film star Stormy Daniels continues to cast a shadow. Ms Daniels, who was given a $130k payment by Trump’s personal lawyer, is preparing to give a primetime interview next week. @Juddapatow wrote: “We all know how this ends. Somehow Stormy Daniels will take Trump down. It is the logical karmic way a man like Trump loses everything. This won’t end in a quiet normal way.” @Lachristie added: “If Trump blocks Stormy Daniels from appearing on 60 Minutes, he will have imposed more sanctions on a porn actress than on Russia.” @Ananavarro summarised: “Nothing she says will change the way his cultmembers feel about him. Republicans will shrug at potential campaign violations. And rest of us already think he’s a dog.”
