Morton
Onslaught survived
A huge tie between two promotion-chasing sides took place at East End Park on Saturday. Dunfermline and Morton have struggled with consistency so far this season but approach the tail end of the season with a real chance of securing a play-off place.
The Ton kicked off four points ahead of their rivals and, come full-time, had maintained that cushion after negotiating a stalemate. Despite a heavy second-half onslaught by the hosts, Jim Duffy’s men held out for what could be a valuable point come May. A positive midweek result for the Pars, though, has helped them close the gap to only one point. With seven games remaining, it’s all to play for as the battle for the final play-off place continues.
