Attempted robbery at bookmakers

Police in Edinburgh are appealing for witnesses after an attempted knifepoint robbery at a bookmakers on Easter Road.

The incident happened about 8:41pm on Monday when a male approached a member of staff at the William Hill premises brandishing a knife. He demanded money.

Officers are asking anyone in the area at the time or who has information that can assist them to please get in contact.
