Dundee See-saw takes us up

- Gary Cocker

Two points from games against Celtic, Rangers and Hearts are two points more than most sane Dundee fans thought we’d gather during the run-in to the split. Sure, we could have beaten Hearts in the end, and the hammering that both our goal difference and Elliot Parish’s face suffered against Rangers may haunt us, but we’ve progressed from fears of being mired in one of the bottom two spots come the split to somehow embracing a four-point cushion above the play-off spot.

The see-saw of momentum is in full swing, as we and County have hit some form just as Accies and Thistle grind to a halt, but it’s still too early to be too confident. The round-robin nature of the split amplifies every dropped lead, narrow defeat or missed opportunity.
