Montrose home in on title
Montrose took a huge step towards clinching the League 2 title by turning in a Champions-style performance, converting their game in hand into a three-point lead over Peterhead with only three matches to play.
The Gable Endies made the breakthrough when Lewis Milne sent a shot home from the edge of the box with the aid of a deflection.
Themontrose lead was doubled two minutes after the restart when Martin Rennie tapped in.
Milne grabbed his fifth goal in two games when he curled home a free-kick with an hour played, leaving Cowdenbeath seven points adrift at the foot of the table ● Berwick Rangers v Stenhousemuir was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and will now be played on Tuesday, 24 April.
