Two dead, one critical in London stabbings

A teenager has been left fighting for his life and two people were killed within 40 minutes of one another in London as a murder epidemic gripping the British capital continues.

A 26-year-old man who was attacked in Colindale on Sunday has died in hospital after police were called out to a flat just before 6pm.

A woman in her 30s died in a separate incident in Brixton, south London, about 6:35pm. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the stabbing. An 18-year-old man is in a critical condition after a third separate stabbing three hours later on Sunday.

The teenager was found with knife wounds near Alexandra Palace shortly after 9:20pm.

A second man, who was later found suffering from stab wounds at an address in Southgate, is thought to have been injured in the same fight. Police said his condition was not life threatenin­g.

The weekend of violence brought the number of people stabbed to death in London this year to more than 35.

Police said a 34-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of murder for the Colindale attack.

Raul Nicolaie, a painter-decorator with a four month-old baby, was found with knife wounds at the flat and later died in hospital.

A man in his 20s has separately been arrested on suspicion of murder over the death in Brixton. Police found a women who had been stabbed and died at the scene.
