- By MARTIN FLANAGAN

Boston Networks, the Glasgow-based life safety, security and integrated technologies business, has completed the acquisition of PEL Services Limited as it accelerates its plans for UK growth.

The Scottish group said the purchase of London-based PEL for an undisclosed sum represented its first bolt-on acquisition in its drive to establish itself as a major national provider of life safety, security and networking services.

Boston Networks, set up in 2000, said the combined group will employ 150 specialist staff, giving it “the reach and capability to provide services to major public and private sector customers across the UK”.

Group CEO Scott Mcewan said: “We look forward to leveraging PEL’S many years of experience of working in the sound, fire, security and audio-visual markets which will help us to drive towards the next phase of growth. This acquisition will further deepen the services offered.”
