Jesus has the final word as late winner gives City a century of Premier points

Champions Manchester City became the first club to amass 100 Premier League points after Gabriel Jesus scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner at Southampto­n.

Pep Guardiola’s side looked like missing out on a historic win before substitute Jesus lobbed home to secure a 1-0 win with almost the final kick.

City had already set new records for points gained, goals scored and games won in a Premier League campaign and they ensured a remarkable season would end on a high as those figures became 100, 106 and 32 respective­ly.

Tottenham beat Leicester 5-4. Harry Kane reached 30 goals for the season, scoring twice as Erik Lamela’s double and Christian Fuchs’ own goal helped Spurs to victory and third place. Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and Kelechi Iheanacho put Leicester 3-1 up before Tottenham made it 4-3. Vardy scored again to make it 4-4 but Kane grabbed his second to settle a thriller.

Arsene Wenger’s 22-year reign with Arsenal ended with a win, Pierre-emerick Aubameyang scoring the only goal at Huddersfie­ld as the Gunners finished sixth.

Chelsea’s disastrous title defence ended with Antonio Conte’s side collapsing to a 3-0 defeat at Newcastle as they missed out on Champions League football. Ayoze Perez’s double and Dwight Gayle’s opener ensured Chelsea eventually finished fifth.

Marcus Rashford scored to give second-placed Manchester United a 1-0 over Watfordwhi­le Burnley lost 2-1 to Bournemout­h. Wilfried Zaha and Patrick van Aanholt scored as Crystal Palace beat relegated West Brom 2-0 while Manuel Lanzini’s double and Marko Arnautovic helped West Ham beat Everton 3-1.
