Ard Tullaich is a modest cottage in a quiet elevated setting with stunning views over Loch Tay towards Ben Lawers and Ben More, near the small hamlet of Ardeonaig between Kenmore and Killin in Perthshire’s beautiful countryside.

It also has not one, but two claims to fame and bags of potential.

Hamish Spencer-nairn, of Strutt & Parker, says: “The house is in need of substantial upgrading or replacement, but there is scope to develop a glorious home with breathtaking panoramic views.

“Ard Tullaich has an association with Monty Python; just behind the house is an abandoned copper mine which doubled as Caerbannog Cave in the film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

“Visitors still come in search of the film location.”

The cottage is owned by singer Mary Sandeman, who as Aneka sold five million copies of the number one single Japanese Boy in 1981.

Under her own name she has had a long career in traditional Scottish folk music and she grew up holidaying at Ard Tullaich which was built by her father in 1958.

The cottage has a sun room, sitting room, kitchen and shower room as well as two bedrooms and the grounds of an acre have lawns and mature trees, plus outbuildings.

A closing date for offers has been set for Wednesday 23 May at noon.
