Shouldn’t be going there. Same as selling of the old Royal – it should have never happened.

Eleanor Darroch Of course it needed to move. The old hospital was too small and needed too much work done so it made sense to move to a new state-of-theart hospital. Sometimes you just need to make changes to move with the times.

Scott Moncrieff That’s nice of the NHS thinking of the kids by installing that new water slide.

David Lowe One might have thought that a security guard should Since when is being embarrassed the end of the world? So what if they’re embarrassed they are learning how to behave in public. That’s a valuable lesson that too many adults have never learned.

Kristin Puleo Watson Great parenting! Boundaries are vital, as is respect.

Caroline Johnstone Being a parent these days is hard. If you have a little brat whose doing bad things, you’re a bad parent but if you punish your child in a responsible way you’re a bad parent.

John Wood Children need to know that good behaviour is needed not only at home but out and about too – no point in making empty threats about no TV etc when they get home. Well done for reinforcing the need to behave in a store.

E June Mccoach Have no problem putting your child in time out. What I don’t like is sitting them on the floor. I work in health care and you have no idea how filthy even the cleanest looking floor is. It is a breeding ground for all sorts.

Jacqueline Elston I’d prefer a parent do this than yell, swear and smack the children to behave in a public place. That sort of behaviour is just as bad as the children’s and it’s no wonder the children don’t seem to listen. There is no respect.

Angela Armstrong Sit? Why couldn’t they stand?

Emily Keenan Smith Just get the feeling that “good parenting” should be done in the household and not in public view in a supermarket. Old fashioned? Maybe.

Willie Watson Problem with waiting until

Lydon Charlie The mum, quite rightly, said she didn’t want to hit or shout at the children. So she takes them to a quieter area and asks them to sit for a while. I bet the parents who say it’s embarrassing have used the naughty step or corner. The mum is trying to make sure the girls grow up knowing there is a time and place to mess about and a time to be a bit silly.

Julie Johnstone I wonder if it would work for late-night drunk Christmas shopping too?

Ross Edward Marsh

Big Red Parliament’s job is to expedite the will of the majority as shown in the referendum. No ifs, no buts.

Andrew Macaulay Mayhem has conceded nothing. All she has said is she “might” talk about a “meaningful” vote.
