Brodies’ partner count hits 98 with hiring

Scottish legal heavyweigh­t Brodies today announced the appointmen­t of Tony Jones QC as its latest partner hire.

Jones, who joins the Edinburgh firm’s advocacy unit, took silk in 2017 and is one of only three practising civil solicitor advocate QCS in Scotland.

A commercial litigator, his experience includes handling disputes in the fields of contracts, constructi­on, insolvency, real estate and intellectu­al property.

His appointmen­t brings the number of partners at Brodies to 98. The firm has more than 640 people working across its offices in Aberdeen, Dingwall, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Brussels.
