Three new Assistant Chief Constables have been appointed to Police Scotland’s leadership team.

The Scottish Police Authority (SPA) said Gillian Macdonald, Angie Mclaren and Alan Speirs were chosen for the roles following a rigorous process of assessment, interview and selection.

A recruitmen­t process for the appointmen­t of the next Chief Constable was launched on 29 May following the resignatio­n of Phil Gormley in February. The recruitmen­t process closes on 25 June.
