Youth projects win £84,000 cash boost

Twenty projects in Aberdeen have been awarded grants worth more than £84,000 from the council’s Year of Young People cultural awards programme.

It is aimed at developing creative projects in music, drama and other areas of the arts. Some 15 organisations and five individuals have received grants.

The council approved the programme after withdrawing funding from the Aberdeen International Youth Festival.
