Trio debuts agency with presence in Edinburgh

A new marketing agency has been launched by a trio of industry veterans, and it is set to have hubs in Edinburgh, as well as Manchester and Harrogate.

The aim of J44 is to provide high-end strategic brand consultanc­y to UK and internatio­nal brands, and it has been created by Kevin Murphy (founder and managing director of The Foundry), Brian Sharp (founding managing director of Wm Grant & Sons Australia and marketing director at Scottish & Newcastle Breweries) and Steve Yelland, former creative director at Protocol, Inside-out Branding and Graham Poulter Partnershi­p.

They bring experience of working with clients including, Diageo, Kumho Tyres, Haagen-dazs, Volkswagen, and Mccains.

J44 already has some financial services and consumer goods clients on board. Sharp said: “With marketing management under more pressure today than ever before, we think our experience and expertise can quickly add value to teams and relieve some of that pressure.”
