New contract agreed by Wood Group on Teesside

Aberdeen-headquartered Wood Group has secured a new contract with SABIC UK Petrochemicals to provide industrial services at a plant on Teesside.

The agreement, effective immediately, is to provide rope access, scaffolding, insulation and coatings services to support pipework and vessel inspections.

Wood currently supports SABIC in operations in the US and Saudi Arabia. The Scots firm also recently signed a contract with SABIC and Saudi Aramco to develop the world’s largest fully integrated crude oil-to-chemicals complex.

Dave Stewart of Wood Group said the firm has provided services at the Olefins 6 plant on Teesside for more than a decade.
