Motorcyclist is victim in hit and run with tanker

A motorcyclist was knocked from his bike in a hit and run in the Borders.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision on the A68.

The incident happened around 10:45am on Sunday, on the northbound carriageway, about onemile north of Camptown.

A 50-year-old male motorcyclist was knocked from his bike by a white tanker.

He sustained an injury to his hand. The driver of the tanker did not stop and inquiries are ongoing to trace this individual. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
