Gold firm unveils hires

The firm aiming to launch Scotland’s first commercial gold mine has unveiled two new non-executive directors and a change of auditors.

Scotgold has appointed Peter Hetherington and William Styslinger with immediate effect. The former is chief executive of spread-betting firm IG Group, while Styslinger is a director of Nasdaq-listed Casa Systems.

The company has also taken on the affiliate, based in Perth, Australia, of BDO International as its auditors, saying that organisation “will serve [Scotgold’s] objectives as it transforms from exploration, to mine development, to gold producer”.
