More than 100 children cross Border to study

-

More than 100 English pupils are being taught at schools in the Scottish Borders.

Reports have revealed many of the pupils are going to secondary schools in Eyemouth and Duns.

Problems at Berwick Academy have been cited as a reason for the crossborder placements.

A total of 103 secondary school pupils with English postcodes are at schools run by Scottish Borders Council. Eyemouth High and Berwickshire High in Duns take the highest number. Both schools are within easy commuting distance of Berwick.
