Police find car used in targeted stabbing of man

A car involved in the stabbing of a man as he sat in a van near Bishopbriggs has been found by police.

The 30-year-old victim was in the passenger seat of a grey Vauxhall Combo van in Torrance, East Dunbartonshire, when an Audi A4 stopped in front of the vehicle about 5pm on Tuesday. A group of men armed with knives got out of the car and stabbed the victim in what police said was a targeted attack, and appealed for witnesses.

The blue Audi is now being examined by a forensic team after it was found abandoned on a farm track off the B821.
