Seventeen cars destroyed in dealership fire
A fire at a car dealership that caused around £850,000 worth of damage was started deliberately.
The blaze started about 11:40pm on Wednesday.
CCTV images showed a man climbing the perimeter fence and starting a fire in the forecourt of Lookers garage on Windmillhill Street in Motherwell.
Seventeen vehicles were badly damaged in the blaze. The incident is being treated as wilful fireraising following a joint investigation between police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue service.
Witnesses are being sought.
