The Red John project would create up to 300 jobs and be run by Hamilton-based Intelligent Land Investments (ILI). A 100m underground “power cavern” would be built.

Details are due to go on display at the Dores Community Hall next week.

Pump storage hydro schemes “soak up” excess power generated by wind farms.
