Arrest made in rapper murder case

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of US rapper Xxxtentacion.

The 22-year-old suspect, named as Dedrick D Williams, is facing a charge of first-degree murder.

The rapper, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was shot as he left a motorcycle dealership in south Florida on Monday.

The 20-year-old later died in hospital. Xxxtentacion rose to fame on the back of two hit albums and was one of rap’s more contentious artists.

He had been facing domestic violence charges. Police have not said whether they are searching for another suspect.
