Arrogance costs
So “Bank bosses tell MSPS they do not consult public over branch closures” (your report, 19 June). I have to say that the bank bosses are wrong here.
The Access to Banking Protocol drawn up by the Westminster government by Harriet Baldwin and Anna Soubry clearly states that in the event of a bank closure consultation of its customers and businesses has to take place. The alternative banking procedures have to be discussed and the results of these surveys have to be published.
