Extending its Reach: Menzies Distribution strikes newspaper deal

Logistics business Menzies Distribution has secured a major deal to collect all daily and regional weekly newspapers printed by Reach and deliver them to wholesale distribution locations across the UK. The deal, which will see Menzies deliver both Reachowned titles and those printed on behalf of third parties, is said to be the first of its kind in the UK. A seven-day operation, the logistics business will be responsible on an average day for carrying around 380 tons of newspapers to 60 wholesale distribution centres.
