Fire evacuees fear delay in returning home
More than 30 householders affected by the Glasgow School of Art fire fear they won’t get back into their homes before September.
Residents from 33 properties haven’t been able to access their homes since the Mackintosh building blaze, which also destroyed the nearby O2 ABC and Campus bar.
Glasgow City Council and the Scottish government have set up a hardship fund for those affected.
Contractors will start the demolition work, described as a “matter of urgency”, on the eastern side of the site within the next few days.
