Man in critical condition after street attack

A man is fighting for his life after a vicious attack in Glasgow city centre.

The incident happened on Hope Street at Cowcaddens Road at 12:20am yesterday.

The 57-year-old victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in a critical condition after being attacked by a male.

Inspector Kevin Gilmour said: “A man has been left in a critical condition and it is vital that we find out who is responsible for his injuries.

“Officers are trying to establish a description of the suspect.”
