Biker critical after two vans collide

A 60-year-old motorcyclist is in a critical condition after being involved in a three-vehicle accident.

He was injured after two vans collided on the Edinburgh City bypass on Wednesday afternoon.

A Ford Transit and a Volkswagen Caddy collided between the Straiton and Lothianburn junctions, forcing the Caddy into the central reservation before it then hit a Honda motorcycle.

The Transit driver was unhurt. The man driving the Caddy suffered slight injuries.
