Briton denies Spain cannabis charge

A British man arrested in Spain has denied being involved in the supply of cannabis.

Jamie Acourt, 42, from south London, pleaded not guilty at Kingston Crown Court yesterday to conspiracy to supply cannabis resin, a controlled drug of class B.

Acourt was arrested in Spain in May following a joint operation by the National Crime Agency, Crimestopp­ers and Spanish authoritie­s.

He will remain in custody and is due to go on trial on 3 December.
