Three women charged over snake ‘abuse’

Two more women have been charged after an online video appeared to show a snake being mistreated.

Police said the women, who are aged 18 and 19, were charged in relation to allegedly causing unnecessary suffering after officers became aware of the video, which was circulating on social media on Wednesday afternoon.

Another 18-year-old woman was charged in relation to alleged animal cruelty on Wednesday.

The trio, who were arrested in Aberdeen, are expected to appear in court at a later date.
