Cockerill seals Pyrgos coup

Edinburgh coach Richard Cockerill has got his wish with the signing of scrum-half Henry Pyrgos from Glasgow Warriors, writes Duncan Smith.

The 27-times capped 28-year-old has signed a oneyear deal with the capital pro team after Cockerill had gone public with his desire for one of the Glasgow No 9s.

That had met with a frosty response from Glasgow coach Dave Rennie, but ultimately it has been decided that Pyrgos makes the move while Ali Price, 25, and George Horne, 24, remain at Scotstoun.
