#TRUMP

In a joint press conference with Prime Minister Theresa May, Donald Trump said parts of his interview printed by the Sun were “fake news” and that he wasn’t critical of the Prime Minister.

@paulbayes posted: “Trump thinks that by behaving in this capricious & inconsistent way he’s acting as a smart dealmaker. In fact, he presents as a vacuous bully. If the Brexit plan means we have to swallow this stuff & become a puppet of this President, we have a problem.”

@Bennutland tweeted: “When Churchill coined the phrase ‘the Special Relationship’ it was partly out of the belief that the UK/ US shared an intertwined destiny. The response to the #Trumpukvisit clearly demonstrates the people of the UK do not want the same future as President Trump.”

@geoffers74 added: “@realdonaldtrump can’t be bullied or ordered what to do by the EU. The current @POTUS simplifies issues and spells out the truth about many of them. He is extremely popular with the majority of us in the UK.” Meanwhile, the President’s spat with the London Mayor was ongoing.

@Technicallyron said: “If

Sadiq Khan is to blame for terrorist attacks in London wouldn’t that mean that Trump is responsible for the rise of white nationalism and mass shootings in America or does it only work when the narrative helps the right wing?”

@Louiseridley added: “Agree with the many people I’ve seen pointing out that we are focusing today on what Trump says about May and Brexit, but history will look back on what he’s saying about Sadiq Khan – dangerous (and illogical) to blame a single politician for terror attacks”

#BUILDABEAR

Hundreds descended on Scotland’s Build-a-bear stores following a mega sale from the stuffed toy retailer.

@Markfdowling posted: “Have any of the waiting customers said it’s unbearable yet?”

John-luke @Johnluke_pw joked: “Day 14 in the Build a Bear queue: Mums are starting to turn. The only currency is queue spots. Julie from York sold her spot for a reported £50k. Dave the security guy hasn’t slept in 4 days. The end is nigh.”

@Bigmouthprincss added: “NASA now reporting they can see the queues outside Build A Bear Workshops from space.”
