Pensioner dead after head-on collision

A 73-year-old man has died after a head on collision on the A832 near Munlochy.

The 73-year-old driver of a grey Ford Focus was pronounced dead at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

The incident was reported shortly after 8.30am on Saturday.

Police confirmed a 57-year-old male, the driver of the other vehicle involved, was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with minor injuries, and was later released.

The road was closed in both direction for around 6 hours to allow investigat­ion to be carried out.
