Man charged over fireworks at rally
A man is to appear in court after fireworks were launched during a farright rally. Around 50 people took part in the Scottish Defence League’s (SDL) free speech demonstration in Glasgow’s George Square on Saturday.
About 200 counter protestors also took part.
A 26-year-old man was arrested after about 40 people threw “smoke bombs and pyrotechnics” at police officers on North Hanover Street.
Police said no one who was part of either demonstration group was arrested.
