US President Donald Trump issued a warning to Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani after he said: “War with Iran is the mother of all wars” during his speech on US policies against Tehran.

@jivedurkey posted: “Rouhani’s message for US President Trump: ‘do not play with the lion’s tail, because you will regret it eternally’.”

@realdonaldtrump replied: “To Iranian President Rouhani: never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before. We are no longer a country that will stand for your demented words of violence & death. Be cautious!”

@ddale8 said: “What did Rouhani actually do? 1) He referred to Trump directly: ‘Mr Trump, don’t play with the lion’s tail, this would only lead to regret.’ 2) He said this: ‘America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars’.”

@Smileymiller60 replied to Trump’s tweet saying: “What is the matter with you Mr. President? Are you that anxious to send my kids and grandkids off to war that will kill 1,000’s. If China helps Iran, which I see as a strong possibility, we are screwed!! Nukes everywhere.”

#BARCLAYS

Barclays has announced plans to create up to 2,500 new jobs in Glasgow. @Scottfree2018 said: “Saw this & the word that the Barclays representative used that stuck with me was ‘strategic’. Heard this a couple of weeks ago & the strategy is protection against Brexit in Independent Scotland.” While @crussell0710 hada very different opinion: “Brass neck Sturgeon on STV news saying how good Barclays investment in Glasgow is... Does she think that would’ve happened in an independent Scotland?”
