Blaze site cordon

-

Residents and business owners have been warned that they may face arrest if they try to access their properties within the cordon around Glasgow School of Art.

Anne Keown It’s time this ugly and useless edifice was consigned to landfill. It was unfit for purpose the day it was built but in the last 30 years we have seen this cult built around Mackintosh which, in my view, is misplaced. Gustav Gustavsson Being unable to access your property and belongings must be unbelievably frustrating. Would it not be possible to arrange escorted visits?

The Ayrshire bard I agree, just imagine leaving your premises in haste thinking it’s a matter of a day or so, only to find weeks later you can’t return for another month at least! I do feel very sorry for these people. Presumably compensation will be paid out as they only have the clothes they wore and little else.
