Police appeal after cyclist dies in crash with car

A cyclist has died following a collision with a car in Renfrewshire.

The 51-year-old man was riding on the A8 Greenock Road, in Inchinnan, when the crash with a white Ford Fiesta happened at 3.15pm on Saturday afternoon.

The man was treated by paramedics but unfortunately died at the scene.

The 18-year-old woman behind the wheel of the car was uninjured.

Sergeant Mark Miller from Police Scotland is appealing for any witnesses to the incident, which happened near the India Drive junction, to get in touch.
