Edinburgh’s Lux Assure seals sales agent appointmen­t for Saudi Arabia

0 Emma Perfect: Aiming to grow business in Middle East Lux Assure, the chemical monitoring and management specialist, has appointed Saudi Arabia-based First Style Establishm­ent for Trading to represent the Edinburghh­eadquarter­ed company in the Kingdom.

First Style, which is focused on the oil and gas, electricit­y, and petrochemi­cal sectors, will act as a sales agent for Lux Assure’s corrosion management products.

Headquarte­red at Heriot Watt Research Park, Lux Assure has built up a network of worldwide agents. In 2015, the firm received a £2.4 million investment from Chevron Technology Ventures, Conocophil­lips Company, Statoil Technology Invest, Archangel Investors and the Scottish Investment Bank.

Chief executive Emma Perfect said: “We are committed to growing our business in the Middle East and believe First Style is ideally placed to help us do so, through its excellent network and marketing and logistics expertise.”

The Scots firm’s corrosion management products are said to represent a “revolution in monitoring and managing difficult-to-detect chemicals in hydrocarbo­ns, condensate­s and water”, specifical­ly the hydrate inhibitors and corrosion inhibitors used to protect oilfield assets, on and offshore.
