Energy consultancy is bowled over by Bowler for growth plans
● Add Energy, the international energy consultancy and software provider, hasappointeddamonbowlervicepresident of its asset and integrity management division, which has more than 170 employees in offices across Aberdeen, Houston and Muscat. He will be key in helping the firm achieve its “ambitious” growth plans by overseeing the direction of the division, with a specific focus on Aberdeen where he will be based. He will also ensure the infrastructure is in place to effectively deliver recently won projects. Following a long career with Shell, Bowler joined Add Energy in March 2017. He will build on his earlier successes with the company as project manager for BP’S West Nile Delta project and as programme manager for new projects. He said: “This is a tremendous opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued growth journey of Add Energy.”
● Accountant and business adviser Campbell Dallas has appointed a second VAT partner and a specialist customs international trade specialist in its fast-growing indirect tax practice. Glasgow-based Greg Mcnally has been promoted to VAT partner and will provide specialist VAT and indirect tax advice to clients and intermediaries across Scotland. Allan Bird as a manager from HMRC, and will advise Campbell Dallas’ clients on complicated VAT issues expected to arise from Brexit. Veronica Donnelly, the firm’s head of VAT, said: “Both Greg and Allan will help clients navigate VAT legislation, identify efficiencies in the transactional nature of the VAT supply chain, and generally help ensure our clients are compliant with the law.”
● Investment management and financial planning group Tilney has appointed Chris Mcleod and Ammar Saleem as financial planners. They will join the team in the company’s office in Edinburgh. Mcleod arrives from Ludlow Wealth Management where he was a senior consultant, advising clients and providing them with a holistic service. Saleem joins from Cornerstone Asset Management where he developed and built relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
