Man who died on board boat in harbour named

A man who died in an incident on board a boat in Fraserburg­h harbour has been named by police.

William Ironside, 52, was among a group of men who fell ill during the incident at the harbour around 2pm on Tuesday.

He died a short time later while four other men have been released after treatment at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Police have not provided any details on the cause of the incident but the Health and Safety Executive and the Marine Accident Investigat­ion Branch are working as part of the investigat­ion.
