Dundee United Fear factor

The start of the beginning or another false dawn? I’m sure I’ve written this before and am certain that every time the latter has held true.

However, it would be churlish not to recognise our first win of the season, away at Queen of the South and on a plastic pitch. We now have to wait for two weeks for a game of any importance with the visit of Partick Thistle. It is already shaping up as a must-win game and for me the biggest issue is the mentality of the players and their ability to close games out when on top.

In both games this season we have taken the lead and have won one and lost one. We need to impose ourselves so that teams fear us rather than knowing we are susceptible and unable to hold on to a lead.
