Queen of the South Too much respect

- Neil Cameron

Following Queens for 24 years has taught me to head into every game expecting the worst, regardless of circumstances. All the talk in the build-up to our match with Dundee United was of us ending Csaba Laszlo’s reign at Tannadice by defeating his struggling side.

Instead, Queens froze on the day and showed our opponents far too much respect.

Having been given the opportunity to dictate the play, the visitors took a deserved two-goal lead. After some presumably stern words during the interval Queens rallied but could only find one goal in response despite having the better of the half. It was the fourth time in six games this season that we have gone two goals down – a worrying trend.
